Regular Season Round 14: Swords Thunder - UCC Demons 77-90

The most important game in the last round took place in Dublin between second ranked Swords Thunder (8-5) and sixth ranked UCC Demons (7-5) on Saturday night. Swords Thunder was defeated by UCC Demons at home 90-77. UCC Demons looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by Swords Thunder's players. The best player for the winners was American forward Lehmon Colbert (198-88, college: Jacksonville) who had a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!), 11 rebounds and 6 assists. International point guard Kyle Hosford (175-89) chipped in 20 points and 5 assists. Four UCC Demons players scored in double figures. American forward Conroy Baltimore (198, college: Lehigh) produced a double-double by scoring 22 points, 15 rebounds and 7 blocks (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field) and the former international point guard Isaac Westbrooks (189-85) added 17 points, 5 assists and 4 steals respectively for the hosts. UCC Demons maintains sixth position with 7-5 record. Swords Thunder at the other side dropped to the fifth place with five games lost. UCC Demons are looking forward to face Moycullen (#8) in Galway in the next round. Swords Thunder will have a break next round.
