No shocking result in a game in Kedainiai where second ranked Neptunas (12-3) defeated bottom-ranked Nevezis (4-12) 85-74. The winners were led by American-Kazakhstan point guard Jerry Johnson (182-82, college: Rider, agency: BeoBasket) who scored that evening 17 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists and the former international Renaldas Seibutis (196-85) supported him with 26 points. Even 15 points and 7 rebounds by American guard James Woodard (191-94, college: Tulsa) did not help to save the game for Nevezis. Swingman Gintautas Matulis (196-86) added 15 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Neptunas have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 12-3 record behind leader Zalgiris. Nevezis at the other side stay at the bottom place with 12 games lost. Neptunas' next round opponent will be P.Zvaigzdes (#5) in Pasvalys. Nevezis will play at home against Juventus (#7) and hope to win that game.
