Regular Season Round 11: Banvit BK - Darussafaka 68-64

We should mention about the upset which took place in Balikesir, where higher ranked Darussafaka (6-5) lost to tenth ranked Banvit (5-6) in a road game 64-68. It was an exceptional evening for American point guard Tony Taylor (185-90, college: G.Washington) who led the winners and scored 13 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. American-Italian Angelo Caloiaro (205-89, college: USF, agency: Pensack Sports) accounted for 11 points and 11 rebounds for the winning side. American power forward JaJuan Johnson (208-89, college: Purdue) came up with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds and the other American import forward Stanton Kidd (202-92, college: Colorado St.) added 11 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Darussafaka in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Darussafaka's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Banvit moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Galatasaray. Darussafaka at the other side keeps the sixth position with five games lost. Banvit's next round opponent will be higher ranked Anadolu Efes (#5) in Istanbul and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
