Regular Season Round 7: Toros - Panteras 66-64

The most exciting game of round 7 in the LPB took place in David. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of much higher ranked Panteras (4-3) to fifth ranked Toros (3-4) 66-64 on Saturday evening. Point guard Joel Munoz (183-80) fired 19 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. Venezuelan Graddy Osorio (193-87) chipped in 17 points and 4 assists. Puerto Rican guard Jared Ruiz (188-92) produced 14 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and Josimar Blenman (200-89, college: Globe Tech JC) added 10 points and 11 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Toros moved-up to third place, which they share with Correcaminos. Panteras lost third consecutive game. They keep the second position with three games lost. Toros is looking forward to face bottom-ranked Halcones (#6) in Panama City in the next round. Panteras will play on the road against Correcaminos (#4) in Colon and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
