Regular Season Round 14: CFBB - SAP Vaucluse 51-101

Bottom-ranked CFBB (0-14) is still winless. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their 14th consecutive match to fourteenth ranked SAP Vaucluse (5-9) 101-51 on Saturday evening. SAP Vaucluse dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to CFBB's 16 and had 21 for 30 from the free-throw line, while CFBB only scored five points from the stripe. SAP Vaucluse forced 23 CFBB turnovers and outrebounded them 37-18 including a 27-12 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by CFBB's players. The best player for the winners was point guard Yann Siegwarth (180-93) who had a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 assists. Center Yohan Solle (205-91) chipped in 22 points and 6 rebounds. Five SAP Vaucluse players scored in double figures. Guard Timothe Crusol (190-1) produced 11 points and 4 assists and guard Yohan Choupas (193-0) added 11 points respectively for the hosts. CFBB's coach Jean-Aime Toupane gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. SAP Vaucluse moved-up to thirteenth place, which they share with 3 other teams. CFBB at the other side still closes the standings with 14 games lost. SAP Vaucluse will meet at home league's second-placed Gries/Oberhoffen in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. CFBB will play against Souffelweyersheim (#15) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
