Regular Season Round 12: Chavdar - Shumen 90-74

Rather expected game in Troyan where 5th ranked Shumen (3-6) was defeated by second ranked Chavdar (5-4) 90-74 on Sunday. Chavdar outrebounded Shumen 43-32 including 31 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Tsenko Nakov (185-87) who helped to win the game recording 27 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists (on 10-of-7 shooting from the field) and guard Todor Kolev (190-92) who added 21 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was forward Yanko Yankov (198-88) with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds and power forward Kiril Kirilov (205-94) scored 17 points and 8 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Chavdar maintains second position in A with 5-4 record having six points less than leader BUBA. Loser Shumen keeps the fifth place with six games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
