Regular Season Round 12: Rilski 2 - Vidabasket 68-102

The game in Samokov supposed to be also quite interesting. Fourth ranked Vidabasket (4-6) played at the court of 6th ranked Rilski 2 (2-8). Vidabasket smashed Rilski 2 102-68 on Sunday. Vidabasket made 17-of-19 free shots (89.5 percent) during the game. They also forced 34 Rilski 2 turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Teodor Nikolov (194-95) who helped to win the game recording 37 points (!!!) and 4 steals and guard Kaloyan Petrov (182-97) who added 17 points, 9 rebounds, 7 assists and 9 steals during the contest. Five Vidabasket players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was swingman Miroslav Vasov (199-98) with 28 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals and power forward Nikolay Gelov (204-98) scored 10 points and 7 rebounds. Rilski 2's coach gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Vidabasket maintains fourth position in A with 4-6 record. Loser Rilski 2 dropped to the seventh place with eight games lost. Vidabasket will face league's second-placed Athletic Sofia at home in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Rilski 2 will play against the league's leader BUBA (#1) in Sofia and hope to win that game.
