Regular Season Round 14: Rostock - Cuxhaven 76-63

Very expected game when 11th ranked Cuxhaven (3-11) was defeated on the road by sixth ranked Rostock (8-6) 76-63 on Sunday. Rostock looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American forward Jordan Talbert (198-91, college: Missouri So.) scored 25 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Bill Borekambi (198-92, college: Sequoias CC) chipped in 16 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. American guard Terence Smith (193-91, college: Mississippi) responded with 17 points and 6 rebounds and Moritz Huebner (200-97) scored 9 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Rostock moved-up to fourth place in North, which they share with Wolfenbuettel and Bochum. Newly promoted Cuxhaven keeps the eleventh position with 11 games lost. Rostock will face RSV Eintracht (#12) in Stahnsdorf in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Cuxhaven will play at home against Oldenburg and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
