Very predictable result when third ranked Den Bosch (7-3) smashed on the road bottom-ranked Den Helder (1-10) 82-56. The game without a history. Den Bosch led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 20-of-21 charity shots (95.2 percent) during the game. Den Bosch outrebounded Den Helder 39-21 including 26 on the defensive glass. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. The winners were led by American forward Mike Miklusak (198-94, college: W.Illinois) who scored that evening 14 points and 8 rebounds and the former international center Nick Oudendag (210-87) supported him with 13 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Oudendag is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Five Den Bosch players scored in double figures. Even 21 points and 9 rebounds by American power forward Quinterian McConico (203-95, college: Alabama A&M, agency: Court Side) did not help to save the game for Den Helder. His fellow American import guard LaVonte Dority (185-91, college: Valparaiso) added 6 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Den Bosch maintains third position with 7-3 record having five points less than leader Groningen. Newly promoted Den Helder stay at the bottom place with ten games lost. Den Bosch will play against Zwolle (#4) at home in the next round. Den Helder will play against the league's second-placed Leiden (#2) to get more than just one victory in their record.
