Regular Season Round 12: Akropol - BG Lulea 59-83

Very expected game when 10th ranked Akropol (2-9) was smashed by sixth ranked BG Lulea (6-3) in Stockholm 83-59 on Sunday. BG Lulea made 21-of-27 free shots (77.8 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 Akropol turnovers and outrebounded them 40-26 including 26 on the defensive glass. Akropol was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for forward Alexander Yemane (200-99) who led his team to a victory with 15 points and 8 rebounds. Point guard David Hook (185-99) contributed with 12 points for the winners. Four BG Lulea players scored in double figures. BG Lulea's coach Fredrik Joulamo felt very confident that he used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Guard Baba Dibba (183-97) replied with 12 points and Syrian Thomas Hana added 12 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Akropol. BG Lulea moved-up to fifth place. Newly promoted Akropol keeps the tenth position with nine games lost. BG Lulea will face league's leader KFUM Fryshuset in Stockholm in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Akropol's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Stockholm KFUM Fryshuset.
