Regular Season Round 10: Kozuv - Pelister Bitola 95-73

There was a small surprise when eleventh ranked Kozuv (2-8) crushed 9th ranked Pelister Bitola (2-8) in Gevgelija 95-73. Kozuv dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Pelister Bitola's 30 and made 19-of-25 charity shots (76.0 percent) during the game. Kozuv players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists comparing to just 5 passes made by Pelister Bitola's players. Serbian swingman Miladin Pekovic (197-83, agency: BeoExcell) had a double-double by scoring 30 points and 12 rebounds (on 11-of-13 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and Daniel Nacevski (194-95) chipped in 28 points and 4 assists during the contest. At the losing side American guard Leo Svete (195, college: IUPUI) responded with 32 points and 7 rebounds and his fellow American import guard Rob Lewis (185-94, college: Queens, NC) scored 21 points and 6 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Kozuv moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Pelister Bitola and Shkupi. Kozuv will play against Shkupi (#10) in Skopje in the next round. Pelister Bitola will play at home against MZT Skopje and hopes to get back on the winning track.
