Everything went according to plan when second ranked Palestrina (12-2) won against on the road 9th ranked Catanzaro (6-8) 76-65 on Sunday. Strangely Catanzaro outrebounded Palestrina 27-15. The best player for the winners was point guard Gianmarco Rossi (182-90) who scored 18 points. The former international power forward Alessandro Paesano (203-93) chipped in 13 points. Five Palestrina players scored in double figures. Guard Pasquale Battaglia (188-93) produced 17 points and power forward Matteo Botteghi (203-95) added 13 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Palestrina maintains second position in B with 12-2 record having just two points less than leader San Severo. Loser Catanzaro keeps the ninth place with eight games lost. Palestrina will face Salerno (#3) at home in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Catanzaro will play against Capo d'Orlando (#12) and hope to win that game.
