There was a small surprise when thirteenth ranked Nardo (6-8) defeated on the road 10th ranked Giulianova (6-8) 74-68 on Sunday. Nardo shot 64.3 percent from the field. The best player for the winners was naturalized Dominican guard Yancarlos-Jefferson Rodriguez (195-94) who scored 19 points and 5 rebounds (perfect from the field making all six shots). Swingman Alessandro Poti (192-91) chipped in 14 points and 5 rebounds. Point guard Alessandro Banchi (185-98, agency: Players Group) produced 23 points (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field) and Nicola Bastone (196-92) added 13 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Giulianova's coach Davide Tisato let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Nardo moved-up to ninth place in B, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Giulianova. Nardo will face Fabriano (#14) at home in the next round where they are favorite.
