Round 17 in CBA means a new league leader. The biggest surprise took place in Shenzhen where host Leopards (12-5) edged league's leader Flying Leopards (13-4) 92-89 on Sunday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Flying Leopards. They dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Flying Leopards' 36 and made 24-of-31 free shots (77.4 percent) during the game. 29 personal fouls committed by Flying Leopards helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The game was dominated by American players. The best player for the winners was forward Jared Sullinger (206-92, college: Ohio St.) who had a double-double by scoring 21 points and 22 rebounds. Keith Langford (193-83, college: Kansas) chipped in 30 points. Leopards' coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Forward Brandon Bass (203-85, college: LSU, agency: Dutt Sports Services) produced a double-double by scoring 24 points and 11 rebounds and Lester Hudson (190-84, college: Tenn-Martin) added 24 points respectively for the guests. Four Flying Leopards players scored in double figures. Leopards have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Guangdong ST. Flying Leopards at the other side still keep top position with four games lost. They were joined at the leadership position by Guangsha L. who have the same record. Flying Leopards will play next round against Long-Lions trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Leopards will try to continue on its current victory against thirteenth ranked Sharks in Shanghai.
