Regular Season Round 12: Dinamo Tbilisi - Rustavi 86-57

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Tbilisi. Third ranked Dinamo Tbilisi faced second-best Energy Invest. Host Dinamo Tbilisi (7-1) smashed guests from Rustavi (7-4) 86-57. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Energy Invest. Dinamo Tbilisi dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Energy Invest's 26. Dinamo Tbilisi had a 33-22 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a good game for the former international Mikheil Berishvili (204-87) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds. American guard Lavell Boyd (183-94, college: UMKC) contributed with 16 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Four Dinamo Tbilisi players scored in double figures. American point guard Adam Blazek (185-92, college: Gannon) replied with 9 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 6 steals and his fellow American import forward Tyrell Nelson (201, college: Gardner-Webb, agency: Interperformances) added 16 points in the effort for Energy Invest. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Defending champion moved-up to second place. Energy Invest at the other side dropped to the third position with four games lost. They share it with Olimpi. Dinamo Tbilisi's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Tbilisi to the arena Cactus Tbilisi.
