The game in Botevgrad was also quite interesting. One of their biggest challengers Vidabasket (4-8) played at the court of sixth ranked Balkan 2 (3-9). Balkan 2 defeated Vidabasket 98-83 on Thursday. Balkan 2 looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Vidabasket's players. Swingman Radoslav Kochev (195-95) notched a double-double by scoring 30 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the effort and Aleksandar Iliev (196-96) supported him with 25 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Balkan 2 players scored in double figures. Even 32 points and 9 rebounds by forward Julian Kolev (194-80) did not help to save the game for Vidabasket. Power forward Martin Gorunov (198-96) added 23 points and 10 rebounds for the guests. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Newly promoted Balkan 2 maintains sixth position in A with 3-9 record. Loser Vidabasket dropped to the fifth place with eight games lost.
