There was a small surprise when twelfth ranked Bakirkoy (7-8) beat on the road 10th ranked Duzce Belediye (7-8) 81-74 on Saturday. It was a good game for power forward Adem Oren (207-79) who led his team to a victory with 21 points and 6 rebounds. Canadian guard Marek Klassen (185-92, college: Point Loma) contributed with 15 points and 7 assists for the winners. Five Bakirkoy players scored in double figures. Bakirkoy's coach Andac Yapicier allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American point guard Corin Henry (178-88, college: Tarleton St., agency: Octagon Europe) answered with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 5 rebounds and 12 assists and American-Jamaican power forward Kyle Hunt (208-89, college: Oklahoma S&A, agency: Octagon Europe) added 17 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Duzce Belediye. Bakirkoy have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Duzce Bld. and Akhisar Bld. Bakirkoy will face bottom-ranked Yalova Bld (#18) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
