Second ranked Beijing Great Wall (12-4) crushed at home 6th ranked Jiangsu Phoenix (8-8) by 25 points 85-60, which is the biggest margin this round on Saturday night. Beijing Great Wall dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Jiangsu Phoenix's 32. Worth to mention a quality performance of American center Sylvia Fowles (198-85, college: LSU) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 31 points and 12 rebounds (made all of her seven free throws) and international Song Gao (188-92) who added 11 points during the contest. At the losing side Chen-Yan Xu responded with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds and guard Manman Zhang (172-97) scored 12 points and 6 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Defending champion keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Shanghai and Xinjiang. Newly promoted Jiangsu Phoenix keeps the sixth place with eight games lost. Beijing Great Wall will face Shandong (#10) in Jinan in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Jiangsu Phoenix will play at home against Whale (#12) and hope to win that game.
