Regular Season Round 13: Rustavi - Kutaisi 100-84

Superleague round 13 caused change at the leadership position. Second defeat of league's leader Kutaisi (8-2) against fourth ranked Energy Invest (8-4) 100-84 was the most important game of the last round. It ended at the same time the eight-game winning streak of Kutaisi. They outrebounded Kutaisi 36-25 including a 20-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. Energy Invest shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 56.0 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Tyrell Nelson (201, college: Gardner-Webb, agency: Interperformances) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 23 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. Guard Levan Tsekvava (190-89) contributed with 17 points and 9 assists for the winners. American guard DeJuan Wright (190-88, college: FIU) answered with 25 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and the former international Akaki Dvalishvili (207-91) added 19 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Kutaisi. Five Energy Invest and four Kutaisi players scored in double figures. Kutaisi's coach Konstantine Tugushi rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Energy Invest moved-up to third place. Kutaisi at the other side dropped to the second position with two games lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by Dinamo Tbilisi. Kutaisi will play next round against Cactus Tbilisi trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Energy Invest will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game.
