Regular Season Round 15: Fraport SKY - Walter Tigers 90-63

Everything went according to plan when sixth ranked Deutsche Bank Skyliners (10-5) outplayed bottom-ranked Walter Tigers (1-14) in Frankfurt 90-63. They outrebounded Walter Tigers 41-26 including 28 on the defensive glass. Deutsche Bank Skyliners players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Walter Tigers were plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for American guard Quantez Robertson (188-84, college: Auburn, agency: Interperformances) who led his team to a victory scoring 20 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. New Zealand guard Tai-Jack Webster (193-95, college: Nebraska) helped adding 20 points and 5 assists. Robertson is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Deutsche Bank Skyliners players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American forward Reggie Upshaw (203-95, college: Middle Tenn.St.) with 12 points and 6 rebounds and the other American import forward Javon McCrea (201-92, college: Buffalo) scored 14 points. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Deutsche Bank Skyliners moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Bayreuth. Walter Tigers lost third consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 14 games lost. Deutsche Bank Skyliners will play against s Oliver Baskets (#11) in Wuerzburg in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Walter Tigers will play at home against EnBW Ludwigsburg (#3) to get more than just one victory in their record.
