Regular Season Round 14: J.Hradec - MMCITE Brno 63-87
Date: December 28, 2017
Bottom-ranked BK Lions Hradec (0-14) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 87-63 loss to eleventh ranked MMCITE Brno (4-10) in J.Hradec on Thursday evening. They made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. It was a great shooting night for MMCITE Brno especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 60.0 percentage. Croatian center Mladen Primorac (210-90, agency: PEPI SPORT) had a double-double by scoring 12 points, 9 rebounds and 10 assists to lead the charge for the winners and American guard Canyon Barry (198-94, college: Florida) chipped in 28 points during the contest. Four MMCITE Brno players scored in double figures. Serbian point guard Edi Sinadinovic (193-88) responded with 15 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and power forward Stanislav Zuzak (204-80, college: Cal-Irvine) scored 13 points. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. MMCITE Brno maintains eleventh position with 4-10 record. Loser BK Lions Hradec still closes the standings with 14 games lost. MMCITE Brno will meet at home higher ranked NH Ostrava (#9) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. BK Lions Hradec will play against BK Kolin and hopes to get finally their first victory.
