Regular Season Round 13: Atomeromu - Kaposvari 97-67
Date: December 29, 2017
No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked Atomeromu (8-5) crushed 10th ranked Kaposvari (5-7) in Paks 97-67 on Friday. The game was mostly controlled by Atomeromu. Kaposvari managed to win fourth quarter 22-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 17-of-21 free shots (81.0 percent) during the game. Atomeromu shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 53.8 percentage. American guard Seth Allen (185-94, college: Virginia Tech) nailed 18 points and 5 assists for the winning side and his fellow American import power forward R.T. Guinn (208-81, college: Baylor) accounted for 20 points and 6 rebounds. Five Atomeromu players scored in double figures. American point guard Christopher Dunn (189-83, college: W.Virginia St., agency: Inception Sports) came up with 24 points and naturalized Serbian forward Tomislav Ivosev (204-90, agency: 011 Sports) added 23 points respectively for Kaposvari in the defeat. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Atomeromu. They moved-up to fifth place. Loser Kaposvari keeps the tenth position with seven games lost. Atomeromu will meet higher ranked Falco-Vulcano (#3) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Kaposvari will play against Alba (#4) and hope to secure a win.
