Soles did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 90-72. Soles outrebounded Aaguacateros 43-27 including a 32-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Eugene Phelps (198-90, college: Long Beach St.) who helped to win the game recording 23 points and 7 rebounds. International point guard Orlando Mendez-Valdez (183-86, college: W.Kentucky, agency: Pro Sports) contributed with 22 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Soles' coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Four Aaguacateros players scored in double figures. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Soles. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Mineros. Aaguacateros at the other side keep the seventh position with 13 games lost. They share it with Santos. Soles will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Aaguacateros will play again at home against Soles (#3) and hope to get back on the winning track.
