Regular Season Round 13: Tofas - Demir IBB 92-88

Very predictable result in Bursa where second ranked Tofas (11-2) defeated 11th ranked Demir IBB (5-8) 92-88. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Tofas dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Demir IBB's 38. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. It was a very good performance for American point guard Pierria Henry (193-93, college: Charlotte) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 7 assists. Dominican-American swingman Sammy Mejia (198-83, college: De Paul) contributed with 13 points and 6 assists for the winners. Tofas' coach Orhun Ene allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. American guard Bracey Wright (191-84, college: Indiana) answered with 23 points and 5 rebounds and the other American import point guard Erving Walker (173-90, college: Florida, agency: Two Points) added 23 points (made all of his eight free throws) in the effort for Demir IBB. Five Tofas and four Demir IBB players scored in double figures. Tofas keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Fenerbahce. Demir IBB at the other side dropped to the tenth place with eight games lost. Tofas' next round opponent will be Trabzonspor (#14) on the road which should be an easy win for them. Demir IBB will play against Usak Sportlif (#16) and hope to win that game.
