Regular Season Round 19: Sichuan - Heilongjiang 65-74

Very expected game in Sichuan where 13th ranked Whale (6-13) was defeated by eighth ranked Heilongjiang (9-10) 74-65. Heilongjiang outrebounded Whale 37-24 including a 31-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of American center Aneika Henry-Morello (193-86, college: Florida) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 21 points and 20 rebounds. The former international forward Jiahe Zhang (182-94) contributed with 16 points for the winners. Belarusian center Yelena Levchenko (196-83, college: W.Virginia) answered with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 13 rebounds and forward Xuetong Zhao (185-94) added 14 points in the effort for Whale. Despite that victory Heilongjiang went down to tenth position due to points difference. Whale at the other side dropped to the eleventh place with 13 games lost. Heilongjiang's next round opponent will be league's leader Beijing Great Wall on the road and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Whale will play against Guangdong Dolphins (#8) in Guangzhou and hope to win that game.
