An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Hiroshima. Fourth ranked Dragonflies faced 4th placed Cyberdyne IR. Host Dragonflies (16-12) defeated guests from Tsukuba (13-14) 68-55. Dragonflies outrebounded Cyberdyne IR 40-27 including a 34-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Dragonflies especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 58.8 percentage. The best player for the winners was American power forward Clint Chapman (208-89, college: Texas) who scored 14 points and 7 rebounds. Guard Hiromu Kitagawa (182-91) chipped in 12 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Five Dragonflies players scored in double figures. American power forward Rick Rickert (211-83, college: Minnesota) produced 15 points and 8 rebounds and guard Atsunobu Hirao (178-89) added 11 points and 4 assists respectively for the guests. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Dragonflies keep a position of league leader, which they share with Toyotsu FE. Loser Cyberdyne IR keeps the fourth place with 14 games lost. Dragonflies will face league's second-placed Kumamoto V. on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Cyberdyne IR will play against the league's second-placed Gunma and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
