Worth to mention about the upset in a game between Guandong Tigers (17-7) and Xinjiang Flying Tige (15-9), which took place in Urumqi. Higher ranked Guandong Tigers lost to ninth ranked Xinjiang Flying Tige in a road game 96-104. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Guandong Tigers. The best player for the winners was American-Bulgarian point guard Darius Adams (188-89, college: Indianapolis, agency: Dutt Sports Services) who scored 38 points (!!!), 8 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). International forward Gen Li (197-88) chipped in 31 points. At the other side the best for losing team was Canadian Andrew Nicholson (206-89, college: St.Bonaventure) who recorded a double-double by scoring 28 points and 13 rebounds and the former international Jianlian Yi (212-87) added 24 points and 11 rebounds respectively. Xinjiang Flying Tige have a solid three-game winning streak. Defending champion moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Beijing D. and Shenzhen L. Guandong Tigers at the other side keep the fourth position with seven games lost. Xinjiang Flying Tige's next round opponent will be bottom-ranked Blue Whales (#20) in Sichuan which should be an easy win for them. Guandong Tigers will play on the road against Bayi Rockets (#19) in Ningbo and hope to win that game.
