Important game to mention about took place in Beijing. Tenth ranked Fly Dragons (14-11) saved a 3-point victory at home edging 13th ranked Sharks (12-13) 103-100 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Sharks. American forward Shavlik Randolph (208-83, college: Duke) stepped up and scored 32 points and 8 rebounds for the winners and Jordanian forward Zaid Abbas (203-83) chipped in 13 points, 14 rebounds and 9 assists. At the losing side American point guard Jimmer Fredette (188-89, college: BYU) responded with 35 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 6 assists (made all of his nine free throws !!!) and the other American import Nick Minnerath (207-88, college: Detroit Mercy) scored 18 points and 8 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Fly Dragons have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain tenth place with 14-11 record. Loser Sharks dropped to the twelfth position with 13 games lost. Fly Dragons' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Beijing to the arena Beijing Ducks.
