Regular Season Round 16: Pescara - Bisceglie 67-77

There was a small surprise when fifth ranked Bisceglie (9-7) won against on the road much higher ranked Pescara (10-6) 77-67 on Sunday. Bisceglie made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. It was a very good performance for point guard Simone Bonfiglio (181-88, agency: Octagon Europe) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 9 rebounds. Swingman Luca Castelluccia (202-86) contributed with 17 points for the winners. Four Bisceglie players scored in double figures. Forward Mathias Drigo (203-89) replied with 20 points and 8 rebounds and guard Ennio Leonzio (191-94) added 15 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Pescara. Despite that victory Bisceglie went down to sixth position (B) due to points difference, which they share with Faenza and Forli Tigers. Loser Pescara dropped to the third place with six games lost. Bisceglie will face higher ranked Civitanova (#5) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Pescara will play against the league's leader San Severo and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
