9th ranked Taiwanese Formosa D. (1-6) was outscored at home by second ranked Thailand Mono Vampire (5-3) with the biggest margin this round 104-84. Mono Vampire made 19-of-22 charity shots (86.4 percent) during the game. Mono Vampire outrebounded Formosa D. 51-33 including a 38-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 28 assists. Mono Vampire brought some defensive toughness making 9 blocks. Filipino-American point guard Jason Brickman (181-91, college: LIU Brooklyn) orchestrated the victory by scoring 8 points, 6 rebounds and 16 assists. Formosa D. will play on the road against Westports MD in Kuala Lumpur and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
