Rather predictable result when fifth ranked Froya Basket (10-9) won against 9th ranked Tromso (6-12) in Laksevag 99-85 on Sunday. The game without a history. Froya Basket led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Tromso's 42. Froya Basket looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. It was a good game for guard Nikolas Skouen (190-90, college: Pepperdine, agency: Duran International) who led his team to a victory with 30 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Latvian guard Edmunds Gabrans (188-79) contributed with 14 points and 8 assists for the winners. American forward Shawntez Patterson (201-90, college: Alabama St.) replied with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds and guard Johannes Lange (179-98) added 24 points and 6 assists in the effort for Tromso. Five Froya Basket and four Tromso players scored in double figures. Froya Basket maintains fifth position with 10-9 record. Tromso lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the ninth place with 12 games lost. Froya Basket are looking forward to face higher ranked Fyllingen BBK (#4) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Tromso will play against Ammerud Bskt (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
