No shocking result in a game in Sevilla where second ranked FC Barcelona (11-4) defeated bottom-ranked Real Betis (4-11) 89-82 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 9-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 89-82. FC Barcelona looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The best player for the winners was French point guard Thomas Heurtel (189-89, agency: BeoBasket) who scored 14 points and 8 assists. Cypriot-Bulgarian Aleksandar Vezenkov (206-95) chipped in 17 points. At the other side the best for losing team was American-Nigerian power forward OD Anosike (203-91, college: Siena, agency: Alti Sport) who recorded 22 points and 6 rebounds and British guard Luke Nelson (190-95, college: Cal-Irvine, agency: 3Eye) added 15 points and 7 assists respectively. Loser Real Betis dropped to the bottom position with 11 games lost. FC Barcelona will face Unicaja Malaga (#8) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Real Betis will play against Burgos (#17) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
