Regular Season Round 25: Beijing D. - Shanxi BD 125-112

There was no surprise when 15th ranked Brave Dragons (9-16) were defeated on the road by seventh ranked Beijing Ducks (16-9) 125-112 on Sunday. Beijing Ducks made 16-of-17 free shots (94.1 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists. American guard Aaron Jackson (190-86, college: Duquesne) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 32 points, 5 rebounds and 12 assists for the winners and Croatian-American center Justin Hamilton (213-90, college: LSU) chipped in 33 points (!!!) and 10 rebounds (on 14-of-18 shooting from the field). At the losing side American point guard Willie Warren (193-89, college: Oklahoma) responded with 35 points (!!!) and 6 assists (on 13-of-14 shooting from the field) and Argentinian-Spanish power forward Luis Scola (206-80) scored 24 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Beijing Ducks have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Shenzhen L. Brave Dragons lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifteenth position with 16 games lost. Beijing Ducks' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Beijing Fly Dragons.
