Regular Season Round 9: TTU - TLU/Kalev 75-90

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 12th ranked TTU's (3-6) home loss to eleventh ranked TLU/Kalev (5-4) 75-90 on Tuesday. TLU/Kalev made 18-of-21 free shots (85.7 percent) during the game. TLU/Kalev outrebounded TTU 32-21 including 24 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was American-DR Congolese center Bambale Osby (203-86, college: Maryland, agency: Octagon Europe) who had a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds. Point guard Reimo Tamm (188-84) chipped in 17 points. Osby is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas. TLU/Kalev's coach used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. At the other side the best for losing team was swingman Oliver Metsalu (196-93) who recorded 10 points and 8 rebounds and American forward Levi Giese (206-90, college: Lafayette, agency: Blacktop Management) added 17 points and 4 blocks respectively. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. The victory was the third consecutive win for TLU/Kalev. They moved-up to fourth place. Loser TTU dropped to the fifth position with six games lost. TLU/Kalev will face higher ranked BK Ogre (#3) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
