Rather expected game in Praha where 10th ranked Sokol Zizkov (1-13) was defeated by seventh ranked GBA Sparta (7-7) 81-68 on Wednesday. The best player for the winners was guard Marek Welsch (180-99) who scored 17 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Slovakian David Javorsky (197-99) chipped in 20 points. GBA Sparta's coach used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. At the other side the best for losing team was Jan Bohm (199-95) who recorded 15 points and 6 rebounds and guard Jan Srna (189-94) added 16 points respectively. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for GBA Sparta. They moved-up to sixth place in West, which they share with Loko Plzen. Sokol Zizkov lost their tenth game in a row. Newly promoted team keeps the tenth position with 13 games lost. GBA Sparta will face Sokol Pisek (#8) on the road in the next round.
