Regular Season Round 15: SBS Ostrava - USK Praha 43-125

ZBL top team - USK Praha (15-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed tenth ranked SBS Ostrava (3-12) 125-43. USK Praha dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to SBS Ostrava's 24 and made 25-of-30 charity shots (83.3 percent) during the game. USK Praha forced 32 SBS Ostrava turnovers and outrebounded them 34-15 including a 18-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three nailing 12 long-distance shots on high 54.5 percentage. It was a quality performance for Spanish point guard Marta Xargay-Casademont (181-90) who led the winners and scored 17 points, 5 assists and 6 steals. Croatian center Marija Rezan (198-89) accounted for 14 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side. Five USK Praha players scored in double figures. American point guard Cassie Peoples (168-92, college: Florida) came up with 16 points and center Anna Kubickova (188-99) added 7 points and 5 rebounds respectively for SBS Ostrava in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the fifteenth consecutive win for USK Praha. Defending champion maintains first place with 15-0 record. SBS Ostrava at the other side keeps the tenth position with 12 games lost. USK Praha will play against LOKO Trutnov (#9) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. SBS Ostrava will play against Karlovy Vary and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
