Regular Season Round 13: Poitiers - Orleans 74-80

Leader Entente Orleans 45 delivered the twelfth victory. This time they beat 13th ranked Poitiers (4-9) 80-74. It looked good early as Poitiers took a 4-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Entente Orleans 45 had a 26-21 second period charge getting the lead and Poitiers was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 74-80. Entente Orleans 45 players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Marcellus Sommerville (200-82, college: Bradley, agency: Inception Sports) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 6 rebounds. Puerto Rican point guard Alexander Abreu (180-91, college: W.Georgia) contributed with 13 points and 8 assists for the winners. Entente Orleans 45's coach Germain Castano allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Naturalized Guinean swingman Sekou-Omar Doumbouya (202-0) answered with 17 points and American guard Ricky Tarrant (188-93, college: Memphis) added 13 points and 5 assists in the effort for Poitiers. Four Poitiers players scored in double figures. Entente Orleans 45 maintains first place with 12-1 record. Poitiers lost third consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth position with nine games lost. They share it with Evreux and Aix-Maurienne. Entente Orleans 45 will play against Nantes (#9) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Poitiers will play against ADA Blois (#5) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
