A very interesting game took place in Istanbul. It ended with only one-point home defeat of 13th ranked Istanbulspor (6-12) to fourteenth ranked TED Kolejliler (6-12) 89-88 in the game for the thirteenth place. TED Kolejliler shot 61.1 percent from the field. It was a great shooting night for TED Kolejliler especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 58.8 percentage. It was a good game for American point guard Alfrie Kelley (183-85, college: S.Carolina) who saved his team from a defeat with 26 points and 8 assists (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line). Swingman Gokturk-Gokalp Ural (196-95) contributed with 16 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Five TED Kolejliler players scored in double figures. TED Kolejliler's coach used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. American point guard Tyrone Brazelton (184-86, college: W.Kentucky, agency: Higher Vision Sports) replied with 28 points and his fellow American import forward Tyler Smith (200-86, college: Tennessee) added 16 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Istanbulspor. TED Kolejliler moved-up to thirteenth place, which they share with defeated Istanbulspor. Istanbulspor lost seventh consecutive game. TED Kolejliler's next round opponent will be higher ranked Bandirma Kir. (#7) in Balikesir and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
