We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 9th ranked USK Praha (6-11) was defeated on the road by tenth ranked MMCITE Brno (6-11) 70-59 on Saturday. MMCITE Brno made 22-of-29 free shots (75.9 percent) during the game, while USK Praha only scored six points from the stripe. They outrebounded USK Praha 39-25 including 25 on the defensive glass. USK Praha was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was American forward Kevin Mays (193-92, college: CSU Bakersfield) who had a double-double by scoring 14 points and 14 rebounds. Croatian center Mladen Primorac (210-90, agency: PEPI SPORT) chipped in a double-double by scoring 12 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. Four MMCITE Brno players scored in double figures. American guard Devon Bookert (190-93, college: Florida St.) produced 20 points and 6 rebounds and the other American import forward Cadarian Raines (206-90, college: Virginia Tech) added 11 points respectively for the guests. MMCITE Brno moved-up to ninth place, which they share with defeated USK Praha. USK Praha lost their fourth game in a row. MMCITE Brno will face higher ranked BK Decin (#8) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
