There was a surprise result when eleventh ranked Kronberg (6-9) defeated on the road higher ranked Fellbach (7-8) 85-79 on Sunday. Strangely Fellbach outrebounded Kronberg 44-32 including 35 on the defensive glass. Fellbach was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. Forward Frederik Zwiener (195) fired 23 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Center Julian Reinwald (209) chipped in a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds. Four Kronberg players scored in double figures. Forward Nils-Frederik Menck (203-82) produced a double-double by scoring 24 points and 12 rebounds and American center Scooter Gillette (206-90, college: Fair Dickinson) added 23 points and 9 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) respectively for lost side. Kronberg moved-up to tenth place in South-West. Loser Fellbach dropped to the eighth position with eight games lost. Kronberg will face Crailsheim II (#11) at home in the next round.
