Regular Season Round 17: Dnipro - Khimik 92-78

Leader Dnipro delivered the sixteenth victory. This time they beat 5th ranked Khimik (7-8) 92-78 in Dnepropetrovsk. Khimik was ahead by 1 point at the halftime before a 43-28 second half run of Dnipro. They outrebounded Khimik 41-29 including a 29-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. International Olexandr Mishula (192-92) orchestrated the victory by scoring 28 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). The former international swingman Dmytro Gliebov (198-88) contributed with 19 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. American forward Austin Arians (198-93, college: Wake Forest) answered with 24 points and 5 rebounds and the other American import point guard Derrick Colter (180-94, college: Duquesne, agency: Inception Sports) added 19 points and 9 assists in the effort for Khimik. Five Dnipro and four Khimik players scored in double figures. Dnipro (16-1) have an impressive series of eleven victories in a row. They maintain first place. Khimik at the other side keeps the fifth position with eight games lost. Dnipro will play against Cherkasy (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Khimik will play against Mykolaiv and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
