Regular Season Round 10: Rapla - Betsafe/Liepaja 99-78

No shocking result in a game when third ranked Estonian Rapla (4-4) crushed at home 5th ranked Latvian Betsafe (2-7) 99-78 on Tuesday. The game without a history. Rapla led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Betsafe's players. Betsafe was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a very good performance for American guard Nolan Cressler (195-94, college: Vanderbilt, agency: 3Eye) who helped to win the game recording 30 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. The other American import forward Devonte Upson (206-93, college: SE Louisiana) contributed with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 16 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) for the winners. Five Rapla players scored in double figures. Rapla's coach felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. American power forward Kyle Benjamin (206-91, college: Bridgeport) replied with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 18 rebounds (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field) and guard Roberts Krastins (195-94) added 13 points in the effort for Betsafe. Rapla maintains third position with 4-4 record having just two points less than leader P.Zvaigzdes. Betsafe lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with seven games lost. Rapla will face Tsmoki-Minsk (#6) at home in the next round.
