Regular Season Round 10: BK Ogre - TLU/Kalev 81-84

The most exciting game of round 10 in the Baltic League took place in Ogre. This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of much higher ranked Latvian BK Ogre (6-3) to fourth ranked Estonian TLU/Kalev (6-4) 84-81 on Wednesday evening. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of BK Ogre. BK Ogre was trailing by 3 points at halftime but managed to get 3-point lead after three quarters before a 15-12 charge of TLU/Kalev, which allowed them to win the game. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Reimo Tamm (188-84) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 9 rebounds. Martin Jurtom (200-94) contributed with 12 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Guard Roberts Niedra (198-95) replied with 16 points and Italian-Latvian forward Gints Antrops (201-82) added 10 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for BK Ogre. Four BK Ogre players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. TLU/Kalev have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain fourth position with 6-4 record. BK Ogre at the other side keeps the second place with three games lost. They share the position with Tartu Ulikool. TLU/Kalev will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. BK Ogre will play on the road against the league's leader P.Zvaigzdes in Pasvalys and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
