Very expected game in Taiyuan where 9th ranked Whale (11-15) was defeated by third ranked Xing Rui (19-7) 93-77. They made 18-of-22 charity shots (81.8 percent) during the game. Xing Rui had a 32-21 advantage in offensive rebounds. Bahamas center Jonquel Jones (198-94, college: G.Washington) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 18 rebounds and 4 assists. Tongtong Wu contributed with 16 points and 4 assists for the winners. Four Xing Rui players scored in double figures. Guard Fangzhu Gong (170-91) replied with 20 points and 5 rebounds and Belarusian center Yelena Levchenko (196-83, college: W.Virginia) added 13 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Whale. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Xing Rui have a solid three-game winning streak.
