Regular Season Round 16: Sokol Prazky - Nymburk B 92-65

There was a surprise result when ninth ranked Sokol Prazky (5-11) crushed higher ranked Nymburk B (9-7) in Praha 92-65 on Friday. Sokol Prazky dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to Nymburk B's 34. Sokol Prazky forced 23 Nymburk B turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a very good performance for center Jan Stepanek (190-83) who helped to win the game recording 23 points and 4 steals. Center Jiri Bruha (210-86) contributed with 15 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Five Sokol Prazky players scored in double figures. Martin Kolar (194-98) replied with 19 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and swingman Eduard Kotasek (187-98) added 15 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Nymburk B. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Sokol Prazky maintains ninth position in West with 5-11 record. Nymburk B at the other side keeps the fourth place with seven games lost. Sokol Prazky will face higher ranked Basket Kosice (#3) on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Nymburk B will play against GBA Sparta and hope to win that game.
