Regular Season Round 16: Boras - Nassjo 87-81

Date: January 20, 2018
Very expected game when 8th ranked Nassjo (3-11) was defeated on the road by fourth ranked Boras Basket (9-7) 87-81 on Saturday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Boras Basket made 21-of-25 free shots (84.0 percent) during the game. Boras Basket outrebounded Nassjo 36-25 including 28 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Boras Basket made 7 blocks. American point guard Nimrod Hilliard-IV (183-93, college: N.C.Central) fired 16 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. The other American import forward Brett Bisping (203-93, college: Siena, agency: Duran International) chipped in a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds. Serbian center Dusan Sisic (206-90) produced 19 points and 6 rebounds and French point guard Sango Niang (183-93, college: Simon Fraser) added 13 points and 8 assists respectively for lost side. Five Boras Basket and four Nassjo players scored in double figures. Nassjo's coach Felix Alonso rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Boras Basket moved-up to third place, which they share with Sodertalje. Nassjo at the other side stay at the bottom position with 11 games lost. Boras Basket will meet Umea (#7) on the road in the next round. Nassjo will play against Sodertalje Kings and hope to secure a win.
