Premier League top team - Al-Manama (19-1) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed fifth ranked Al-Hala (13-7) in Muharraq 94-67. Al-Manama dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Al-Hala's 38. They outrebounded Al-Hala 45-30 including 17 on the offensive glass. International forward Hassan Nawrooz notched 22 points to lead the effort and American Wayne Chism (206-87) supported him with 10 points and 9 rebounds. Four Al-Manama players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 23 points and 16 rebounds by American-Lebanese center Loren Woods (218-78, college: Arizona) did not help to save the game for Al-Hala. Hussain Salman added 14 points and 4 assists for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Al-Manama have an impressive 11-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 19-1 record. Loser Al-Hala keeps the fifth place with seven games lost. Al-Manama will meet at home Al-Bahrain (#9) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Al-Hala will play against Isa Town (#12) in Issa Town and hope to secure a win.
