Regular Season Round 16: Atomeromu - ZTE KK 79-95

We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when seventh ranked ZTE KK (9-7) won against 6th ranked Atomeromu (9-7) in Paks 95-79. The game was mostly controlled by ZTE KK. Atomeromu was better in fourth quarter 24-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. ZTE KK dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Atomeromu's 30. ZTE KK had a 32-17 advantage in offensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three nailing 12 long-distance shots on high 52.2 percentage. American players dominated the game. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Deonta Vaughn (184-86, college: Cincinnati, agency: Interperformances) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 8 assists and point guard James Kinney (187-90, college: San Jose St.) who added 14 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. Five ZTE KK players scored in double figures. At the losing side guard Seth Allen (185-94, college: Virginia Tech) responded with 27 points and power forward R.T. Guinn (208-81, college: Baylor) scored 13 points and 6 rebounds. Atomeromu's coach Teo Cizmic rotated eleven players seeing no chance for a win. ZTE KK moved-up to sixth place, which they share with defeated Atomeromu. ZTE KK will play against higher ranked Alba (#4) in Szekesfehervar in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Atomeromu will play on the road against PVSK-Veolia in Pecs and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
