The game in Svitavy was also quite interesting. One of their biggest challengers BK Usti nad Labem (10-8) played at the court of sixth ranked Basketbal Svitavy (10-8). Basketbal Svitavy managed to secure a 5-point victory 83-78 on Saturday. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of BK Usti nad Labem. Basketbal Svitavy made 19-of-23 free shots (82.6 percent) during the game. The former international guard Pavel Slezak (186-84) notched 29 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists to lead the effort and naturalized Slovakian point guard Roman Marko (193-86) supported him with 11 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Basketbal Svitavy's coach Lubomir Ruzicka used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Even 26 points and 8 rebounds by forward Ladislav Pecka (197-91) did not help to save the game for BK Usti nad Labem. Power forward David Steffel (212-85) added 15 points. Basketbal Svitavy moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Usti n/Labem. Basketbal Svitavy will meet bottom-ranked BK Lions Hradec (#12) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. BK Usti nad Labem will play against USK Praha (#11) and hope to secure a win.
