Second-ranked BK Pardubice (12-6) was very close to win a game against top-ranked CEZ Nymburk (17-0) on Saturday. CEZ Nymburk managed to secure only one-point victory 91-90. However their fans expected easier game. CEZ Nymburk made 23-of-29 free shots (79.3 percent) during the game. It was a good game for American point guard Eugene Lawrence (184-86, college: St.John's) who saved his team from a defeat with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 5 rebounds and 10 assists. The other American import guard Kendrick Ray (188-94, college: Kennesaw St., agency: Pensack Sports) contributed with 14 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Five CEZ Nymburk players scored in double figures. CEZ Nymburk's coach Oren Amiel used entire bench in such tough game. American guard Jackson Kent (201, college: JMU, agency: Diamond Sports) replied with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and international power forward Kamil Svrdlik (205-86, college: Fair Dickinson, agency: Octagon Europe) added 15 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for BK Pardubice. CEZ Nymburk have an impressive 17-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 17-0 record. BK Pardubice at the other side keeps the second place with six games lost.
